Alden Burke and Stephanie Koch are the Co-Founders of Annas.
Alden Burke is an educator, facilitator, and writer driven by the question “What are we going to learn from one another?” Through educational and programmatic environs, her work aims to harness the interest of the individual as a means to unfold the poetic potential of the collective through proximity, intentionally, and vulnerability.
Stephanie Koch is an arts administrator and curator from Chicago who engages in institution-building as a creative practice and exhibition-making as a site for empathetic and prefigurative politics.
Together, in 2018, we created Annas to design human-scale systems for supporting and sustaining creative practices, systems that can dissolve and evolve in response to the individual needs, time constraints and available resources.

Founded in 2010, ACRE is a non-profit organization based in Chicago designed to support emerging artists develop, discuss and present their artistic practices. As a community-coordinated effort to provide emerging artists with an accessible, equitable, and interdisciplinary residency and exhibitions program.
Candor Arts is an independent press based in Chicago. The authors we select to publish share personal accounts of their lives—offering therapeutic perspectives on learning and healing. We provide design, production and consulting services in the form of books, art objects and printed matter.
Flatland is an exhibition/project/event space located in McKinley Park’s Clock Tower Industrial Center in Chicago. At Flatland we like artists/makers/thinkers who are interested in the ephemeral and subterranean, utopias, jokes, and ideas that seem impossible to pull off or tough to pin down.
