Residency at Annas

For 4-6 months, Annas offers studio space for individual artists, writers, curators, and art administrators to produce a group project. As their knowledges and processes collide, weekly making sessions deepen the practices of those involved. To inspire a ripple-effect of new modes of working beyond a singular artist, Annas works to make this collision visible to an arts community.

Throughout the residency, Annas invites artists and curators to conduct studio visits with the cohort. These visits compliment public programming centered on feedback and engagement with the group's in-progress works. The residency culminates, first, with an exhibition at Annas to display the process and dialogue generated during their residency. Annas and the cohort also partner with another space to host a more traditional presentation dependent upon the needs of their works. By pairing with another art-centered institution, Annas attempts to build a stronger, broader network of engagement by and for its participating members.
